Tag. I'm it.
It's about time. Steve Smith tagged me.
Here's 5 things you may not know about me.
1) I used to be very active in the animal rescue field, mainly with abandoned ducks and geese. I've literally rescued hundreds of abandoned birds. With team of people I gathered together, we were able to successfully rescue over 100 abandoned domestic ducks and 6 geese that would have been left to either die or be tortured at Centennial Park in Santa Ana, CA. There were many other times where I rescued abandoned ducks, geese, rabbits, chickens and just about anything that was living and non-human, but that was the biggest effort I lead. An article was published about my duck rescuing: Teen makes a habit of rescuing abandoned ducks. I used to bring the animals I rescued home and that would drive my mother crazy. I've also volunteered with Pacific Wildlife Project and had my fair share of interaction with federally protected species such as endangered brown pelicans, white pelicans, various sea birds (gulls, cormorants, grebes, etc.), and many other species of wildlife protected under the Federal Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
2) I dressed up as Cliff the Swallow for Swallows Day at the San Juan Capistrano Mission 2 years in a row.
3) I'm an Aries, which probably explains why I'm so stubborn. I was born on April 9, the same birthday as Hugh Hefner.
4) Up until sometime when I was 19, I originally wanted to be a veterinarian, but choose to enter the software development field instead. I had volunteered thousands of hours at the local animal shelter as well as worked there followed by a job at an emergency animal hospital, but my talent for programming kicked in and that's when I decided to switch.
5) When I was a baby, I was chosen as the New Years baby and got to wear a cute hat and sash.
Now it's my turn to tag 5 people. Here it goes:
Bill Ryan, Kevin Jones, Dean Fiala, David Silverlight, and John Morales. Sorry Terri Morton. I would of tagged you, but you still don't have a blog.
