Looking for developers for version 2.0 of the pigeon application
Two days ago I blogged about the 911 Pigeon Alert group. I'm currently in the process of migrating the application to .NET 2.0 in order to optimize the 1.1 code as well as take advantage of the new features of .NET 2.0. The current application is written in C#, uses a SQL Server 2000 backend and all database code is 100% stored procedures. This project is no where near finished, so I figured this would be the perfect volunteer opportunity for developers of all experience levels to work on. Not only will you be able to put your programming skills to good use, but also help the pigeons at the same time. If you're interested, please send me an email to Ryan(dot)Olshan(at)strongtypes(dot)com and tell me a little about yourself as well as how you feel you'd like to contribute to this project. Thanks.

I hope you find your volunteers.
The cause is noble, the app is small and interesting and your initial code is a good starting point from what I saw of it.
I think whoever takes it over should incorporate Log4Net and IBatis and improve the elegance, modularity, and reliability of this small application.
