Today was the pre conference for Dev Connections. I attended Windows Forms - Beyond the Basics and the speakers were Ken Getz and Robert Green. It was rather informative and the topics covered were threading, GDI, data binding, and printing. After the session I attended the keynote speeches. A main chunk of that was Microsoft presenting on upcoming technologies including demonstrations. The last part was Scott Guthrie presenting on the future including Microsoft AJAX, .NET 3.0, Visual Studio, and Microsoft Office 2007. They also announced that they had released Office 2007 and .NET Framework 3.0 today. At the end of the keynote speeches, I finally got to meet Scott Guthrie in person. He's awesome. I'll get to converse with him more tomorrow during ask an expert. After that I was off to the MVP reception where I got to meet fellow MVPs like Steve Smith, Alex Homer, Dave Sussman, Rick Stahl, and Paul Litwin just to name a few. It was sure a busy day.
